If you are new to this strength work – focus on good mechanics and increase your weights slowly over time. Increase reps for additional practice!
Experienced members should increase the weight by 5 lbs from previous 3×5. Only if you feel confident, primed and ready.

Veteran of the 3×5? Then you know methodical practice of small weight increments over time is where the gains come from. Missed a week? Stay at the same weight as your previous effort, or back off a little depending on how you feel today.
