We have assembled a strong team of athletes who will be training throughout the year in preparation for competition. Each of our team participants has committed to what will be a challenging and rigorous training regimen.
The Guerrilla Fitness Team is an invitation-only program. The first step for interested individuals to be invited onto the team, is that they must meet the following minimum standards in the opinion of the program coaches. They must demonstrate that:
- They are “coachable”
- They have a high level of athletic ability
- They are willing to invest a considerable amount of time and training (they must be on a 5x/week membership program)
- They set the example of what GF embodies through performance in class, a focus on proper movement, and exhibiting humility
- They are committed to continually working on and honing their skills, through being coached, watching videos & reading journal articles
In addition to the minimum standards listed above, potential candidates must successfully be able to achieve a minimum of 8 out of the 10 benchmarks listed below and at least 2 in each category. Benchmark standards are judged by the program coaches on both a qualitative and quantitative bias. It’s awesome to see that blend of ability, experience, hunger, and humility to get there within our red starred cinder-blocked walls.
