i think the choice to post this pic was to see that HOPE was happening everywhere globally on that same day. this is an event that an affiliate put on with 400+ members and participants including Kate Foster, the little 10 year old girl that was on our website a few days ago.

it is always incredible to know that we are attached to an even bigger community out there that is doing great things just like us. also – it answers the ‘where was K??’ question :-) !

i am so proud of everyone in our gym. every Facebook post, every rep and all of the effort.

i also want to say how impressed and proud i am of our kids program. i spent most of the weekend telling everyone what we were up to Friday night. thank you so much to the kids coaches and Pete for being there, and for making this happen.

HOPE was amazing this weekend! Pete & the kids team kicked it off right on Friday night with a great turnout, awesome efforts throughout the workout which was followed by a very fun family night.

Saturday HOPE continued at Montclair for all of us big kids :) Everyone did an incredible job – really great to see Montclair & Motown throwing down together for such a great cause!

The party afterwards was just an awesome time to celebrate together as a community and I want to thank Gregg & team for having all of us!

K – looks like you were doing great things down in DC. Really sweet picture of you and Kate on FB, too! Thanks for sharing! :)

All, What a great event on Saturday with all the Guerrilla peeps! Incredible energy! I heard several peeps beat their previous Hope Scores! What a brutal wod. Maybe one of the top 5 hardest wods I’ve done, but it was cool thowring down with everyone for a great cause. Awesome awesome day!

Thanks Gregg and Ruth for all the planning that went into it.

K, it must have been very cool being down in DC with Kate and 400+ CrossFitters to support St. Jude. Must have been amazing to see!

Here is a great Video of Kate and her connection to CrossFit.

Thanks K for representing the Guerrilla Family at that DC event.

First time doing a WOD Rx today (7m30s). Sweet. Working on a farm on Saturdays definitely helps with the farmer carry (and stone shoulders too).

    Hey guys,

Thought I’d share the results of a little experiment I ran in May. I wore an Actigraph to CF for 3 days to track how many calories I burned in each WOD out of curiosity. Between 5/21, 5/22, and 5/25 I averaged 1,179 calories burned per workout.

Nice numbers, and good to know that all our hard work is really worth it!!

    See ya’ll tonight!

GREAT job to all of those that competed in Montclair Saturday! I saw some truly amazing performances! And a big thanks to Gregg and K for the fun Beach party;). Sorry we missed you K, but that’s pretty cool you got to hang out with some of the St. Jude’s children and not a bad gig to get to judge Bob Harper!

HOPE was a great workout that was challenging to say the least (it certainly kicked my ass and made me wish I had done the practice run). What’s even better is that in the guerrilla community and in the greater CF community, we raised a ton of cash for SJCH. I’m eager to see what the final total is after everybody has entered their scores for the per/rep donations that were pledged (hint hint).

As a bonus, with all the adrenaline leading up to the workout, I got my first C2B pull up. Unfortunately, it wasn’t something I could replicate during the wod. 10 min post-HOPE, I got my second.

I am so proud to be a part of GF Morristown I watched Pete coach the Friday night kids program with Katie and Amy. There was so much enthusiasm with every young crossfitter. At the beginning of the evening Pete asked the kids why they were there and what the money they raised was for and they all new because it has been part of their coaching. Guerrilla Fitness broadens our shoulders, minds and horizons. Kudos to the coaches we have that do what they do with passion.

Saturday was amazing!! The turnout was huge, the suffering was great but the margueritas were even better!!

DaveT – congrats on your first rx today!!

Great job raising this money everyone. I love how cf is about so much more than ourselves!!

Nico – luv that you tracked your calories – pretty cool to see since I just saw an article saying that 1 cookie is burned over 20 min of running. CF is def the way to go!!
